Explainers, Explained
When gauging the impact of huge, ongoing, nonstop-coverage political stories such as Signalgate, it helps to remember Jim’s Law (which I just invented)
“if you think a story is getting so much press that nobody could fail to hear about it, I guarantee you that at least one-half to two thirds of the American electorate has no idea it happened.”
That’s why I’m publishing these explainer cartoons. They’re designed to print out and share with people who ‘don’t follow politics,’ may not read long-form anything, and who wouldn’t read a Heather Cox Richardson post if it would bring world peace.
How to share these comics
Again, print and share is the ideal distribution format. If you want to restack on Substack or your mostly-liberals FaceBook account, feel free. Hopefully, more visibility will lead to more printed copies in circulation. But the idea is to get these comics into places and in the hands of people outside our own liberal amen corner.
OK, enough preamble. On to the cartoon!
